A good permanent system should work in daylight, too

Look beyond a colorful holiday demonstration. Consider how the track and wiring look during the day, how warm-white scenes suit the exterior at night, and whether the proposed placement lights the architecture you want to emphasize.

Roofline shape, trim color, soffit depth, and access all affect the design. A site review helps determine where the track can be mounted and how visible components will be.

Choose the equipment with the support plan

The final proposal identifies the actual manufacturer and model, track finish, controller, power supply, supported controls, and any subscription or connectivity requirements. We do not ask you to choose a system based on a generic picture or an unspecified warranty.

Ask separately about the manufacturer’s product warranty and the installer’s workmanship coverage. The proposal should name the responsible party, state the coverage period, and explain how service is requested.

Power, access and installation details

The installation plan should identify existing power access, controller placement, cable routes, mounting methods, and any changes needed before work starts. Where an electrical trade is required, that work must be performed by the appropriately licensed provider.

Is permanent lighting the right fit?

Permanent lighting can suit someone who wants frequent use and multiple lighting scenes. Seasonal Christmas lighting can be a better starting point when the goal is a specific holiday display with setup and removal included.
